If you are planning a trip full of new and interesting destinations, our recommendation is to visit Zavratnica Cove – a significant landscape and one of the most beautiful bays of coastal Croatia. The best way to get to know this area is by kayak. At the beginning of 20th century, Zavratnica became a hidden summer resort of Viennese and Prague elite, but today it is a home to 129 plant species – 100 autohtonous and 29 allochthonous – and a shipwreck dating back to WWII. Enjoy the sweeping view: turquoise sea blending with greyness of Velebit. The legend says that Zavratnica Bay was formed by a destructive earthquake in 615, and three old Roman towns were lost at sea.

Our meeting point is in Karlobag, an old fishing town dating back to the time of the Roman Empire, which is on the coastal road, route Rijeka – Dubrovnik. As soon as we meet and have our first morning coffee, we head towards a place that is a 20-minute van ride. After we present you today’s schedule, we set off on a relaxing-kayak adventure. So, get ready for swimming, deep-water soloing and having a whale of a time. Reaching the bay, you can snorkel to see the wrecks of a WWII ship and with any luck we will watch the beautiful sunset. The best way to finish our one-day adventure is by having a local dinner after which we go back to Karlobag where we say goodbye.
