Croatia is one of few destinations in the world where it is possible to climb mountains and have amazing views of the sea and islands at the same time. It is the place where you can hiking at altitude up to 1600 m a. s. l. (meteres above sea level). Moreover, you can do sea cliff climbing and sleep in climbers’ hut on beach. This is what we offer in our 7-day lifetime adventure in Croatia you don’t want to miss. Do you know why Lika is so special? Because of the clean air that flows through its mountains, rivers, rapids and from which your lungs fill up so you immediately feel better. Once you are in the magnificent nature, it is time for a magnificent adventure. The area of Lika is a mountainous border between the coastal and lowland territories of Croatia. Also, it is a beautiful and self-contained area that is full of unexplored adventure. This diverse space and dynamic landscapes are a challenge for all people curious about adventures and adventurers to discover new, hidden, attractive contents of this region. Lika is a region created for outdoor activities or for family vacations.

Accommodation is provided in different locations in Croatia. We mostly use private guest houses or traditional mountain hut’s located outside the popular tourist areas. This will make your experience of Croatia even more complete.
The first day is the arrival in Croatia and trip to our accommodation. It is not a problem for us to meet you at the airport and on the way to Lika show you a couple of interesting places – such as the bear sanctuary Kuterevo, the sources of the river Gacka. The plan is to come to the hostel in Baške Oštarije by the evening, have short briefing for the next day and dinner.

After breakfast, we will sit in the transport van and go to explore one part of this beautiful area, we’ll go horseback riding. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, the ranch team will help you feel like a real cowboy from western movies. After short introductory part, we’ll go horseback riding. After horseback riding, we will have traditional lunch – Lika dish. After the lunch time, we’ll go to the birthplace of one of the greatest scientists of all times. We will visit the “Nikola Tesla” Memorial Center. We will see where he was born, some of his inventions and watch a short movie about this truly amazing man. Afterwards we head towards the accommodation where you will have free time and dinner.
After breakfast we’ll go to the unique cave park in Croatia and Europe. In a relatively small area there are a couple of caves, of which Samograd is the largest and we will visit it. Also, on the way to Samograd we will go to a beautiful lookout point from where there is a magnificent view of the river Lika and mountain Velebit. After the cave park, we will have lunch in a nearby local restaurant and go to visit small family manufacture that produces brandy. Here we will listen a short story about the manufacture, about the production process and of course taste the products. After this we can go swimming on the river Lika or to Karlobag at the Adriatic sea or simply enjoy around our accommodation.
The first part of today we will spend relaxing. After breakfast we’ll go on a tour of the local cheese factory to get acquainted with the methods of production of cheese, milk and milk products. Then, we will have lunch and take a rest for hiking in the sunset. Namely, today we will go hiking, but in the early evening and we will watch the sunset, the islands and the beautiful Adriatic Sea from the magnificent mountain Velebit. We will be at the top of 1100m and enjoy the view. When we return to the accommodation, we will have dinner and go to sleep.
A new day and a new adventure. After breakfast we’ll go to the second largest submerged river in Europe – we’ll go kayaking to the river Lika. It doesn’t matter if you have ever kayaked or this is your first time, we will show you everything. After short basics, we’ll go to explore the Lika River. When we return to the starting point we will together prepare a barbecue, relax in warm water of river Lika which has the most beautiful small canyon in the world. After that zen moment on the river Lika, we will go to see one more beautiful place, but it will be a surprise and we will tell you about it when you arrive.
Today we have prepared for you a real little adventure. We’ll go to Paklenica National Park, a canyon and a place that is a climbing paradise in Croatia. We will ride through the heart of mountain Velebit – the Master Road. It is the first road built to connect the interior of Lika with the sea and it is still in use nowadays. We’ll pass through the interior of Velebit and descend towards the sea. When we arrive at the Paklenica National Park, we will have an easy hike to the mountain lodge where we’ll have lunch and relax time. We head back the same way and we will visit an interesting museum carved inside huge rocks. All the way to the accommodation we will drive along the sea. After this awesome day, we will have final dinner and goodbye time…
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. After breakfest we drive you to the airport. If you would like to stay more than 7 days in Croatia, then we would like to recommend you other, beautiful places to visit – especially those you won’t find in tourist guide books.
