Velebit, Croatia’s most magnificent mountain range, is special and unique. Don’t hesitate to explore this beautiful mountain range, otherwise you will miss hidden, remote landscape on top of Mt. Velebit, which is a home to many peaks. Natural resources of shapes and landscape are found on the area of Rožanski Kukovi and Hajdučki Kukovi Strict Reserve, which are, like most parts of north Velebit, a part of Northern Velebit National Park.

Mighty mountain of Velebit
Our meeting points are in Gospić or Otočac, which are small towns on the main roads to southern Croatia. After meeting, we hit the road by our van and head towards the mountain; the mountain which will teach us a lot and which we will get to know today – Velebit. First, we will visit Velebit Botanical Garden which is a home to about 500 plant species and some of them are only found on Velebit. Next we continue our adventure to Hajdučki Kukovi and Rožanski Kukovi Strict Reserve, where you will see one of the deepest caves in Europe and the world. Our end point is Alan (North Velebit) where we will witness the beautiful sunset, homemade food and drinks, and this is the end of our day.
