Land of people and wolves
Electricity? Nikola Tesla? Plitvice Lakes? Wildlife? The answer to these questions is simple: “Lika Land!” – the largest and most diverse Croatian region.
The region offers a commanding view of both mountain peaks and islands at the same time. The region where Nikola Tesla, the greatest inventor and genius of all time, was born and raised. The region with the largest number of nature parks and national parks, among which the most famous is Plitvice Lakes National Park.
The region with many unexplored and unspoilt corners of nature. The region with numerous natural sites which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List and one of them is beech forests of Northern Velebit National Park. The region where you can visit Grabovača, a cave park unique for this part of Europe.
The region of the opposites – magnificent mountain of Velebit on one side and amazing views of the Adriatic Sea and its islands on the other side. The region where you can walk the longest hiking trail in Europe – Via Dinarica – and spend a night in a climbers’ hut at the lowest altitude in the world. Interesting, isn’t it?
Croatia is a country perfect for adventure tourism, especially Lika. So, hurry to adventure, take your backpack and head out for an adventure in Lika Land.
